CIVIL WAR

During the period 1791 to 1865, several events took place in the USA, and some of the events led to the Civil war in the USA; those events significantly impacted why the USA fell into the Civil war. It would be unfair to leave out the fact that, for sure, these events at some points also shaped the USA. As these events ultimately led to the end of the harsh treatment of innocent citizens who were considered enslaved people submitted to complex works with little or no wages. This paper will discuss events, such as the Missouri Comp and the Great Comp of 1850, to name a few. The events played a mega role in leading to the war.

The USA has undoubtedly had its fair part of enslaved and free people. Many times there has arisen war between the enslaved communities and the free ones; this is because some communities feel like they are more privileged than others while others feel like they are being mistreated, leading to conflicts between the two sides (Belov, 2018). This misconception was the leading cause for the Missouri Compromise, as it was efforts played by both the slavery side and the privileged states; both sides wanted a balance in power and felt like they both needed to be provided with more power than the other.

The western territories did not want the slave trade to spread into their regions and therefore desired that no slavery be carried in their regions, as the freemembers only were, allowed to stay in such environments. In the compromise, they decided to divide the Louisiana lands into two different parts, one that was utilized for slavery while the other one was for the whites (Belov, 2018). The division was not done most appropriately, leaving many people feeling unappreciated and, therefore, many conflicts.

The Missouri compromise was afterward declaredunconstitutional. Since it had already been done, it was hard for the decision to be undone, and therefore it built two different sides that had all their personal goals that they needed to achieve from the compromise(Henderson, 2018). The compromise led to the upcoming of antislavery and slavery proponents who all wanted their needs met and would stop at nothing until these needs were met. Since many whites had a lot of power bestowed upon them, it was hard for the enslaved people to fight them; they needed a lot of energy to do that.

The two sides voted against or for this practice(Henderson, 2018). The two-sided sides were in such a rush that they didn't follow any needed protocols that needed to be followed as they were power-hungry. Since they were in a hurry and were power-hungry, one thing led to the other, and it began with a simple massacre that led to many people losing their lives. This bloodshed was known as Bleeding Kansas, and it would not stop as it continued to rise until it became the start of the Civil War between these two sides.

The Great compromise of 1850 had so many implications, one of them being that it led to the division expressed in the Wing party. The division was experienced mainly because of the issue of an enslaved person and the Fugitive law (Henderson, 2018). The Northern Wing was against it because it didn't want to follow all the stipulated rules about Fugitive slave law; they felt like they had a lot of power and deserved to be respected for what they desired.

Northern Wing refusing to follow all the FSL angered Southern wing that was respecting all the stipulated laws and felt like they were being looked down upon. A lot of tension started building up, which was not only experienced between the northern and southern wings but also experienced between the parties. The Compromise of 1850 came with some of its resolutions that included admitting California to the USA as a free state with no slavery(Richardson, 2020). The compromise also allowed some states to decide for themselves about the issue of slavery, which some states did not readily accept.

The 1850 compromise had so many reasons that led to the civil one of them being the fact that a part of this compromise came up with the Fugitive Slave Act; this act spelled out that slavery escapes needed to be followed and taken back to be enslaved yet again(Richardson, 2020). The law ensured that everyone followed this type of law, but the Free states were not complaisant with it and didn’t feel good about it. This made sure to build tension that ultimately led to the growth of a lot of anxiety, leading to the war.

The law also required that everyone makes sure to aid in the capture of the enslaved people and return them to slavery, which the North objected to. The South also did not feel good about this; therefore, a lot of tension ultimately led to the Civil war (Richardson, 2020). Abraham Lincoln, a member of the antislavery Republican Party, decided to join politics and vied to be president, and he was elected. This led to much tension and agony between the northern and southern states as the Southern States felt belittled. They would not take it any longer and therefore decided there was no way to solve this since the issue of slavery was not solved adequately, ultimately leading to the break out of the Civil war between the two sides.
